A little
help.

Email yusufmohdsuhair@gmail.com. Include your app version, phone model and what happened. Please leave out personal journal details and recovery codes.

Getting started

Open My cycle to log a period or make a daily check-in. Calendar lets you edit past dates. History brings your saved observations together. Tracking works offline and without an account.

Reminders

Open your profile, turn on a reminder and choose its time. Allow notifications when your phone asks. You can send a test notification from the same screen. If nothing arrives, check notification permissions, Focus or Do Not Disturb, and battery settings.

Period heads-up uses the beginning of your estimated range. It pauses when there is no future estimate, when estimates are turned off, or when cycle history needs review. Reminders do not confirm when a period will begin.

Backups and a new phone

A backup needs its recovery code. Save that code in your password manager, separately from a backup file. Optional cloud backup uploads only when you choose; it does not sync phones automatically. On a new phone, sign into the same account, choose Restore backup and enter the code.

If you lose the code, Petal cannot decrypt that backup. Your journal may still be available on the original phone, where you can create a new backup.

Accounts and deletion

Google sign-in and Sign in with Apple on iPhone are optional features in version 0.3. You can sign out and keep tracking. Delete your account or request deletion when you no longer want a cloud account.

About estimates

Petal is a personal journal, not a medical device. Its estimates are not medically validated and must not be used for contraception, diagnosis or treatment. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional about symptoms or medical decisions.

Beta feedback

On iPhone, you can also use TestFlight’s Send Beta Feedback. Screenshots may include private details: review them before sending.
